Pensioner App based Proof of Life Certificate
Digital facilitation of Federal and Provincial Government Pensioners Introduction of App based Proof of Life Mechanism
Reference to the SBP's letter No.BPRD/AML-04/2026-1171562 dated July 09, 2026. With reference to Rule 35(1) of Federal Govt. Receipt and Payment Rules, 2025, a pensioner drawing pension through direct credit system shall undergo biometric verification biannually on National Database and Registration Authority (NADRA) system from any branch of a bank, other facility as made available for biometric verification by the NADRA or Government, or provide a life certificate to the Accountant General/District Accounts Officer.
2. With reference to Rule 35 (2) of the said Rules, if a pensioner drawing pension under the provision of rule 35(1) fails to submit a life certificate or fails to undergo NADRA biometric verification as provided in rule 35(1), the relevant pensioner's authority shall not credit payment in the pensioner's bank account. The dormancy requirement on part of banks shall not be applicable, for the purpose of these rules, please.
