Pensioner App based Proof of Life Certificate
Digital facilitation of Federal and Provincial Government Pensioners Introduction of App based Proof of Life Mechanism
Reference to the SBP's letter No.BPRD/AML-04/2026-1171562 dated July 09, 2026. With reference to Rule 35(1) of Federal Govt. Receipt and Payment Rules, 2025, a pensioner drawing pension through direct credit system shall undergo biometric verification biannually on National Database and Registration Authority (NADRA) system from any branch of a bank, other facility as made available for biometric verification by the NADRA or Government, or provide a life certificate to the Accountant General/District Accounts Officer.
2. With reference to Rule 35 (2) of the said Rules, if a pensioner drawing pension under the provision of rule 35(1) fails to submit a life certificate or fails to undergo NADRA biometric verification as provided in rule 35(1), the relevant pensioner's authority shall not credit payment in the pensioner's bank account.
